The Experienced RiderCourse (ERC) is for the experienced motorcyclist who wants to improve riding knowledge and skills. Generally, experienced riders are those with at least six months of riding experience or 3,000 miles of current riding experience. Riders who want to take the ERC must be proficient in basic riding skills; including shifting, turning and braking.
Experienced RiderCourse (ERC) includes classroom and riding-range instruction, with an orientation to street-safe riding. Topics of discussion will include how to balance the mental and physical aspects of safe riding, manage risks, increase visibility and optimize your lane position. The ERC also covers protective gear, rider responsibility, motorcycle inspection and care, and the effects of alcohol and other drugs on riding. Participants (using your own personal motorcycle) will put into practice the techniques of managing traction, stopping quickly, cornering and swerving.
The Instructors –all experienced motorcyclist—
are certified by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation.
