Through interactive lectures and hands-on clinical lab practice, students will learn to:

  • Deliver Essential Patient Care: Master daily living assistance, including bathing, feeding, nutritional support, and specialized catheter care.
  • Manage Clinical Environments: Perform routine safety checks, maintain strict cleanliness protocols in patient rooms, and efficiently acquire, distribute, and manage medical supplies.
  • Execute Advanced Technical Procedures: Gain proficiency in operating electrocardiogram (EKG) machinery and mastering proper phlebotomy (blood draw) techniques.
  • Monitor Vital Signs: Accurately measure, record, and monitor critical patient data, recognizing and reporting changes in patient status.
  • Provide Holistic & Emotional Support: Cultivate strong communication skills to accommodate diverse patient needs and offer critical emotional support to patients and families, with a dedicated focus on coping with grief, loss, and end-of-life care.

Career Readiness: Upon successful completion of this course, graduates will be fully prepared to sit for national PCT certification exams and enter the healthcare workforce as versatile, high-demand clinical professionals.
